The Municipality of Sermersooq is seeking an engaged Team Leader for Majoriaq Nuuk. Responsible for labor market guidance in development. Tasks include job placement, unemployment registration, and advising youth. Expectations: social education, leadership experience, and knowledge of legislation. Start desired July 1, 2026, or as soon as possible.
The Municipality of Sermersooq is seeking a skilled and committed Team Leader for the Job and Guidance Department in Majoriaq Nuuk, responsible for labor market guidance that is rapidly evolving according to current guidelines, so that the new team leader can participate in the continuation of the ongoing development. The desired start date is July 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.
The position is placed under the Municipality of Sermersooq's administration for Welfare and Labor Market, where the Center Manager for Majoriaq Nuuk is the immediate supervisor.
The tasks in the department for job and guidance in Majoriaq primarily consist of job placement, unemployment registration, professional retraining of the unemployed, activation of the unemployed, outreach guidance for young people, business contact, applications for hiring external labor, applications for mobility benefits, applications for job-seeking benefits, clarification processes for the unemployed, revalidation and flexible jobs, work ability assessments for early retirees and early retirement applicants, as well as guidance and motivation processes.

You will work as a team leader in Majoriaq, where your task is to motivate young people and adults to become ready to start a job or education.
The content of the position:
Ensure that business processes and case handling are organized and followed.
·Ensure ongoing reporting for the preparation of statistics
·To ensure the development of employees and coaching
·Contribute to the development of employees' competencies
·Contribute to the collaboration with other leaders in Majoriaq Nuuk
·Contribute to the collaboration with labor market partners and educational institutions
·To collaborate with the other departments in the municipality
·To assist in the preparation of case presentations for the political committee
·To participate in the solution of various ad hoc tasks.

Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
