Qeqqani MISI (PPR) in Qeqqata Municipality is looking for a Psychologist for employment in Sisimiut with the possibility of housing.
Qeqqani MISI is an advisory and guiding body that works with children and young people aged 0 – 18 years in collaboration with parents, schools, and institutions. The purpose of our work is to enhance the opportunities for children and young people to thrive, develop, and learn.
In Qeqqani MISI, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team consisting of psychologists, educational psychological consultants, and our office assistants. The team is collectively composed of 6 employees, who are based in Sisimiut. In addition, we serve the town of Maniitsoq and 6 associated settlements, which we travel to a couple of times throughout the year – depending on need. This means that travel activity should be expected in the position.
As a psychologist in Qeqqani MISI, your tasks are diverse and include, among other things:

Support for children and young people in their well-being, development, and learning through the use of pedagogical psychological working methods aimed at both individuals and groups, including both child groups and families.

Conducting educational psychological assessments including psychological testing

General and special pedagogical counseling and guidance for parents, teachers, educators, or other relevant individuals whose efforts have a significant impact on the child's/student's development.

Preparation of Educational Psychological Assessments (EPAs)

Interdisciplinary collaboration with other professional groups outside our team (including teachers, educators, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, and more)

Participation in the future development of the children and youth sector in Qeqqata Municipality

Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to free travel and relocation of personal belongings, are in accordance with the applicable agreements between the Government of Greenland and IMAK for teachers in the Greenlandic public school system.
Housing can be provided for the position, for which payment is made according to applicable regulations.
Child certificate:
The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has obtained a child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police.
