QUPANUK is seeking a nutrition assistant for the QUPANUK Nursing Home in Sisimiut. The position is full-time starting August 1, 2026, or by agreement. Responsibilities include cooking for residents and staff, menu planning, and participating in interdisciplinary collaboration. We are looking for a stable and responsible person with experience from a large kitchen.

About QUPANUK

The nursing home QUPANUK has space for 44 residents, and in addition, there are two respite care places. The nursing home is divided into several departments, including a dementia department.

We are focused on creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for our residents and emphasize high professional quality, care, well-being, and development. As an employee, you will be part of a workplace in development, where collaboration and engagement are highly valued.

Your work tasks

Preparation of food for the residents of the nursing home.
Preparation of food for citizens receiving meal service in Sisimiut.
Preparation of food for employees.
Planning and organizing cooking and baking.
Preparation of special diets and diets.
Participation in shopping and menu planning.
Co-responsibility for the kitchen's daily operations, cleaning, and dishwashing.
Contribute to health-promoting and preventive initiatives.
Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration with the care departments, home care services, and other partners.
Act as a substitute for the kitchen manager when needed.

We expect that you

Is trained as a nutrition assistant.
Has experience from a large kitchen or similar work area.
Works independently and in a structured manner.
Is stable, responsible, and flexible.
Has good collaboration skills and meets others with respect and openness.
Enjoy working with elderly people.
Can handle busy situations and maintain an overview.
I want to contribute to the development of the QUPANUK nursing home.

Working hours

Work is done today in shifts every day of the week with an average working time of 40 hours per week. Overtime may occur in connection with special events.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant trade union.

Housing can be allocated, where rent is paid according to applicable regulations.
