We are seeking an engaged and strategically strong Director of Education for Perorsaanermik Ilinniarfik/Social Pedagogical Seminar. You will lead the development of our programs and ensure alignment between strategy and practice. Responsibilities include the quality of education, professional direction and development, as well as personnel responsibility and collaboration with external stakeholders.
Education Manager for Perorsaanermik Ilinniarfik/Socialpædagogisk Seminarium We are looking for an engaged and strategically strong education manager for Perorsaanermik Ilinniarfik/Socialpædagogisk Seminarium, who will lead the development of our educational programs and set the direction for the future social pedagogical competencies.
As the head of education, you will have overall responsibility for the quality, academic direction, and development of the programs, playing a central role in ensuring coherence between strategy and practice. We are looking for a leader with strategic insight and professional weight who can translate overarching goals into well-functioning teaching and strong educational pathways. The role includes responsibility for the school's eight educational tracks as well as continuing education and course activities.
You will be involved in a close management collaboration with the principal and deputy principal and will help ensure that the organization's strategic goals are translated into concrete teaching and strong educational programs.

Responsible for Lectio and scheduling, ensuring appropriate planning of the teaching.

Contributes to and develops the professional strategy for the education programs.

Ensures high professional quality in teaching and educational programs

Responsible for the development and adaptation of the educational offerings.

Has the overall responsibility for exams and collaboration with examiners.

Has responsibility for the censor corps and ensures quality and coherence in collaboration with the censors.

Establishes and maintains the frameworks for the education programs, including the internship handbook, examination handbook, quality assurance, and study regulations.

Responsible for following up on the departments' resource consumption and ensuring coherence between professional priorities and financial frameworks.

Handles collaboration with other educational institutions and relevant external actors.

Actively participates in and contributes to the school's committees.

Qualifications: Is trained as an educator and has solid knowledge of educator training programs and the educational field.

Works independently, takes responsibility, and demonstrates decisiveness in task resolution.

Has a strong understanding of systems and the ability to develop and establish frameworks, structures, and processes that support the quality and execution of the education programs.

Salary and employment conditions
The position is currently classified as equivalent to 36. The salary with fixed salary components and personal pension contributions in LR 36 amounts to DKK 57,531 monthly and DKK 690,372 annually as of April 1, 2026.
Housing
An unfurnished staff housing can be allocated for the position according to the applicable rules at any given time. Housing cannot be allocated to individuals who already have staff housing or another property owned by the municipality or the Government of Greenland. Rent and deposit are paid according to the applicable rules for the allocated housing. The staff housing is tied to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the property, ownership conditions, etc. There may be a waiting period for the allocation of permanent staff housing, which is why temporary accommodation may occur, including in smaller co-housing communities or hotel apartments, for which taxation applies. It is not permitted to keep larger pets, such as dogs or cats, in staff or temporary housing.
