Academic Employee for TB Control

We are looking for an academic employee to coordinate TB control in Greenland. You will work at Queen Ingrid's Hospital in Nuuk and collaborate with healthcare staff. Tasks include maintaining the TB database and planning courses. The position requires financial and statistical insight as well as the ability to work independently.

We are looking for a professionally strong key person to coordinate and support the work on Tuberculosis in Greenland.

Can you maintain an overview and help ensure projects reach their goals? Are you flexible and willing to work for the healthcare system in Greenland? – Then we need you and your skills!

Commencement on March 1, 2026, or by agreement.

We are looking for an independent academic employee with an interest in participating in and contributing to the fight against tuberculosis (TB) in Greenland.

About the position

The position is located in the Medical Area at Queen Ingrid's Hospital in Nuuk, where you will receive a thorough introduction to the organization.

Your key function will be to ensure the fulfillment of the healthcare system's goals and strategies for TB control in Greenland. You will work closely with the healthcare system's responsible TB nurses and doctors, where your main task will be to contribute to the coordination and implementation of a new overarching national strategy for combating TB in the country in close collaboration between the healthcare system, the National Health Board, the Department of Health, and other partners. This will include planning and conducting meetings as well as training activities. You will be responsible for the operation and follow-up of the TB database.

We expect that you can contribute to ensuring progress and reporting within the TB area – both in relation to health data and compliance with the allocated financial frameworks. It is therefore important that you have both economic and statistical insight to independently manage this. In doing so, you will, with your professional knowledge, develop into a competent sparring partner for the Medical area.

A large part of your job will be to maintain the TB database, ensuring that it is always up to date. Together with the TB-responsible nurses, you will also be involved in planning and developing courses for the TB-responsible key personnel and frontline staff, as well as citizen-oriented events.

Initially, the TB area and the associated tasks will take up a large part of your time, but there will also be other tasks such as secretary for the hygiene committee.

Your profile

You have a relevant long higher education degree, preferably with a health professional profile. If you are a recent graduate, you can document relevant student jobs or internships with experience from both quantitative and qualitative studies, preferably in the healthcare sector.

As a person, you are structured, you work independently, and you are good at maintaining an overview of tasks and subject areas. You are good at prioritizing your time and know that some tasks can be solved with a quick, short, and precise answer, while other tasks have a weight and importance that require greater care, precision, and documentation.

We offer

An exciting job with diverse tasks and good opportunities for professional and personal development. You will become part of an informal working environment with skilled and dedicated colleagues, where you will contribute to further developing project work in the healthcare sector.

We value an informal tone and that we can be good colleagues for each other - both socially and professionally. We are looking for a colleague with ambition, a good mood, and plenty of energy.
