Support Person or Equivalent Qualification

A support person or someone with a similar qualification is sought under the Disability Social Psychiatry Support Corps.

We are looking for a support person or equivalent as soon as possible for adults with physical and mental disabilities living in Nuuk. The position is 40 hours per week, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM.

Procedure:

· Work is conducted from client to client at different times, focusing on the clients' goals in each situation.

· Facilitate clients' daily lives by supporting them in their everyday activities.

· Work according to the action plan.

· Clients receive support to maintain a normal daily life.

Target Group:

· We work with adults who have physical and mental disabilities and live in their own homes, visiting them to provide support.

Responsibilities:

· Work with the client at the center.

· Develop an action plan together with the client.

· Accompany the client to various public places, such as the hospital.

· Can work responsibly and independently.

· Must be positive and patient.

We collaborate with:

· District Psychiatry, Queen Ingrid's Hospital, the Social Administration, Physiotherapy, and the Correctional Service.

· It is an advantage if you can speak and understand Greenlandic and Danish, but it is not a requirement.

Criminal Record:

This position is subject to the law requiring a criminal record check. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. Therefore, please note that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the police.

Salary and Employment Conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the current agreement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization at the time of employment.

Employment will be subject to a 3-month probationary period.

No staff housing is provided for this position.
