Position: Senior Social Worker

Kujalleq is in a very special situation where the Inatsisartut Act on support for persons with disabilities has been suspended. This means that we are an administration in transition and that the Naalakkersuisut has had overall responsibility for the administration since November 2024. In your upcoming daily life, you may notice this as we work closely with social workers and management from the Social Agency. As a leading social worker, you will be able to receive professional support and backing to help you grow in your role and create sustainable frameworks for your colleagues.
Your new tasks will include:
· Have an important coordinating and leading role in the daily work of the caseworkers and the case processing.
· Create structure and systematics in the work for the caseworkers.
· Contribute to ensuring direction and professionalism in close collaboration with the caseworkers.
· Work preventive and outreach – both in the local community and through cross-sectoral collaboration.
· Take ownership of cases and case processing to ensure progress in the cases.
· Contribute to employee well-being by taking responsibility for employee well-being, development, and administration.
About you
We imagine that you are a trained social worker with your heart in the right place. You are good at keeping a cool head and creating an overview. You have a can-do attitude and enjoy working closely with colleagues both internally in the administration and in collaboration with the municipality's other administrations.
It is an advantage if you:
· is a trained social worker, preferably with relevant further education.
· has experience with management or the willingness to try it out.

Child certificate:
This position is covered by the law requiring the procurement of a child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has obtained a child certificate.
The child certificate will be part of the municipality's assessment of who should be hired for the position.
Salary and employment conditions will be in accordance with the agreement between the Naalakkersuisut and Atorfillit Kattuffiat for social workers and caseworkers employed under the Self-Government and the Greenlandic municipalities.
A staff housing is provided, for which rent etc. is paid according to applicable rules.
Just as there is a provision for free relocation travel and moving of household goods – and after at least 3 years of employment – termination and moving of household goods according to applicable regulations.
