About the position
The Family Center Ilulissat is seeking a dedicated family therapist who can work holistically with families while also providing therapeutic and treatment efforts for children and young people who have been exposed to violence, sexual abuse, or other distressing experiences.
The position is anchored in the Family Center Ilulissat under the Administration for Families and is part of an interdisciplinary collaboration with, among others, social workers, psychologists, treatment leaders, and other relevant actors.
Your primary tasks
·Conduct individual, family, and network-oriented therapeutic treatment
·Work therapeutically with children and young people in crisis and challenging life situations
Conduct crisis and support conversations in acute situations.
·Develop and follow up on treatment processes in collaboration with family and social worker
·Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration, case consultations, and treatment conferences
·Document efforts and contribute to professional development
Guided colleagues in understanding stress reactions and pedagogical-therapeutic approaches.
Professional qualifications

Social worker, educator, or other relevant social profession education

Further education or courses in therapy, treatment, or crisis work is an advantage.

Experience with children and young people in vulnerable positions, particularly regarding violence and sexual abuse.

Knowledge of family work, network involvement, and interdisciplinary collaboration

Ability to work systematically and document professional work

Salary and employment conditions
This position is covered by the law requiring the collection of a child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin once the Municipality has obtained a child certificate.
The child certificate will be part of the municipality's assessment of who is hired for the position.
Salary and employment conditions are primarily based on the agreement between the Government of Greenland (Greenland Self-Government) and the negotiating organization.
No housing can be provided for the position.
