Disability and Social Psychiatry is seeking a team leader for the Qinngorput Residential Unit in Nuuk. You will work closely with operations and contribute to leadership and quality in task resolution. The unit houses 21 residents with mental disabilities. You will support residents in developing their skills and living independently.
Disability and Social Psychiatry is seeking a team leader who is eager to work closely with operations and contribute to strengthening leadership, coherence, and quality in task resolution in the Housing Unit Qinngorput.
The residential unit Qinngorput is one of our larger residential units in Nuuk. In the residential unit, there are 21 residents with mental disabilities, most of whom also have substance abuse-related challenges. The residents have their own apartments and use the unit's two common apartments for cooking, communal dining, and social interaction.
Our core task is to help the residents develop their mental, social, and practical skills so they can live as independently as possible. You, along with the management and staff, must support the residents in living a good and meaningful life as they wish.
You will be part of a staff group of about 20 employees with an educational, health-related, or other relevant background.
You report to the manager of the Boenhed Qinngorput and work closely with both the deputy manager, managerial colleagues, and the department head.
About the position:
As a team leader, you will play a central role in supporting the daily management and operation in the Housing Unit Qinngorput. The position is characterized by a high degree of practice-oriented leadership close to employees and residents.
Depending on your educational background, there will be various possible tasks, such as medication responsibility.
You are also part of a scheme with on-call duty in your own home.
The specific task portfolio can be continuously adjusted in dialogue with the immediate supervisor.
Your primary tasks:
·Support the daily management and operation in the Housing Unit Qinngorput
·Be a visible and accessible management resource for employees
Contribute to structure, overview, and follow-up in a large and complex residential unit.
·Contribute to professional development and quality in the efforts surrounding the residents

About us:
Disability and Social Psychiatry consists of eight housing units, five housing collectives, two activity and socializing offers, one respite care offer, one competency development center, and three support teams distributed in Nuuk, Tasiilaq, and Paamiut. We work purposefully to strengthen leadership, professionalism, and collaboration – both locally and across regions.
Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
