The Social Authority is seeking 2 social workers for the Children and Youth Team in temporary positions until the end of June 2027. There is an opportunity for travel and flexibility in the workplace.

The Social Authority is seeking 2 social workers for the Children and Youth Team in temporary positions until the end of June 2027. Are you interested in an exciting job in case management in the child and youth sector, where in addition to handling child cases, you also have the opportunity to support other caseworkers with your expertise?

The Child and Youth Team is part of the Department for Advice to Caseworkers, which works to support municipal case processing across the country, among other things, by providing advice and guidance, developing guidelines and tools for case processing, as well as holding courses, on-the-job training, and online presentations.

The team is currently tasked with handling cases in the child and youth area in the Municipality of Kujalleq in connection with the Naalakkersuisut's decision to partially suspend the Municipality's administration of social regulations, including the Act on Support for Children.

For the effort in Municipality Kujalleq, we are therefore seeking 2 social workers for the Child and Youth area in fixed-term positions until the end of June 2027 with the possibility of extension.

In the positions, a fair amount of travel activity can be expected; however, between trips, you can decide for yourself where in Greenland you want to work.

About the positions

Our 2 new colleagues will either work full-time or part-time in the Municipality of Kujalleq.

The employees who are fully part of the team for Kommune Kujalleq have no other tasks, and all tasks will be part of the work in Kommune Kujalleq. The work takes place partially in Kommune Kujalleq; initially, the team is physically present in Kommune Kujalleq for about 3 weeks and home for about 2 weeks at a time, during which distance case processing is done.

The Social Authority has offices in Nuuk, but for the temporary positions, it is not a requirement that the work between stays in Kommune Kujalleq is carried out from here, and applicants regardless of residence in Greenland are therefore welcome to apply.

Employees who are partially involved in the work in Kommune Kujalleq will, at times, have to perform the work on equal terms with the employees who are fully engaged in the work in Kommune Kujalleq, for example, during holidays.

Whether our new colleagues will join the Municipality of Kujalleq team full-time or on a temporary basis depends on the applicant's skills and experiences, and preferences will also be taken into account.
