The position of hospital educator at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen is available. The teaching serves Greenlandic students of compulsory school age who are hospitalized or related. The applicant must be responsible, versatile, and creative, with the ability to support students in challenging situations and collaborate with relevant stakeholders.
Are you our new instructor at Rigshospitalet for Greenlandic students? The position as a hospital instructor at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen is available for appointment. The hospital education at Rigshospitalet is responsible for teaching Greenlandic students of compulsory school age who are hospitalized for shorter or longer periods or are relatives of adults or siblings undergoing treatment at Rigshospitalet.
The Danish Agency for Education is seeking a responsible, versatile, and creative teacher for Rigshospitalet, who can manage the teaching and engagement of students across different ages, grade levels, and subjects. The applicant must be a robust and empathetic person who can accommodate and support students during sometimes difficult life situations. The applicant must be independent and able to engage in close dialogue with the students and their parents, home municipalities, and the Greenlandic patient home. Additionally, the applicant is expected to have close teamwork with the other hospital teachers at Rigshospitalet as well as with other relevant stakeholders, including relevant sections and departments at Rigshospitalet.

The hospital teacher's tasks will mainly include: Teaching in the subjects and subject areas of primary school according to the students' prerequisites and needs.

Initiation of creative and educational activities – including activities outside the classroom.

Participation in network meetings and supervision conversations with other hospital educators

Collaboration with the Greenlandic patient home and patient coordinators
About you

The ideal applicant: Has a teaching degree and can teach in Greenlandic and Danish as well as other subjects and areas of the folk school.

Has experience teaching in primary school, preferably with teaching experience of children with special needs and must have an inclusive and student-involving approach in their work.

Is professionally ambitious on behalf of the students, structured, responsible, and solution-oriented.

Has a thorough knowledge of the folk school in Greenland.

Is familiar with the use of IT in teaching

Is well-informed about various new trends in pedagogy and teaching.

Is resourceful and can work independently, but also has good collaboration skills with other teachers and management.

Salary and employment conditions
The position follows the "Collective Agreement for Teachers, etc. in the Folkeskole and in the Municipality of Copenhagen" and the "Working Time Agreement for Teachers in the Primary Municipal Folkeskole and in the Municipality of Copenhagen."
Housing
