We are now looking for more experienced and skilled responsible specialist doctors in psychiatry to strengthen our professional work.
You will have the opportunity to explore and engage in meaningful work, where you work broadly within the psychiatric field.
Your role will include treatment processes with adults, including forensic patients, where you will become an important medical resource focused on improving patients' mental health.
The framework for your work
The psychiatric area consists of an inpatient department with 12 beds, three of which are in a secured unit. In addition, there is an outpatient function with attending patients and telepsychiatric consultations, ward rounds at a social psychiatric institution, and community psychiatry in Nuuk.
The psychiatric area has a collaboration with the Central Denmark Region with a monthly conference and 16 beds in a forensic psychiatric department at Aarhus University Hospital.
In addition, we have a collaboration agreement with the child and adolescent psychiatry in the Capital Region of Denmark.
You will be part of a well-functioning interdisciplinary team and a strong professional working environment, where there are good conditions for professional development and collaboration.
Your future colleagues will be specialists, psychologists, junior doctors, nurses, educators, therapists, patient coordinators, administrative staff, interpreters, and social and health assistants.
Your workday is characterized by great variation and a wide range of tasks.

In the morning, you will handle ward rounds in collaboration with the other doctors, including reviewing newly admitted patients.

You are on call and are contacted by doctors outside of Nuuk for professional consultation.

Younger doctors in the department seek guidance regarding acute issues and situations where coercion is implemented.

Psychologists need weekly professional support regarding outpatient patient courses.

Develop, update, and ensure the quality of workflows and professional nationwide guidelines.

Contribute to optimized patient pathways.

Ensure experience gathering and exchange at board meetings, conferences, and networking meetings.
