Uummannaq Health Center is seeking a Social and Health Assistant for exciting and varied work. The position involves responsibility for the inpatient department during evening and night shifts. You will utilize all your skills and learn new things. Furnished housing is offered, and permanent employment may be an option. We are looking for a person with broad competencies, especially from emergency reception, medical, or psychiatry.
Uummannaq Health Center is seeking a Social and Health Assistant – as soon as possible – for exciting and varied work.
The city is known as one of the most beautiful places in all of Greenland and is referred to as Greenland's answer to Mallorca.
We offer:

A position in mixed shifts, where you will be responsible for the bed department during evening and night shifts (of course with both a doctor, nurse, and manager available).

You will get to use all of your skills and likely learn new things, as our bed department covers all specialties.

Furnished housing, paid through the gross salary.

Permanent employment may be considered for Greenlandic applicants or exceptionally qualified Danish candidates. In any case, there will be a 3-month probation period.
We are looking for you who:

Has broad competencies, especially preferably from emergency reception, medicine, or psychiatry.

Desire for variety and excitement.

Has good collaboration skills and knows their own competencies.

It would be fantastic if you speak fluent Greenlandic. Greenlandic applicants must be able to communicate fluently in Danish.
About us:
We are Greenland's third northernmost health center and are located 450 km north of the Arctic Circle, which among other things means that the first sunrise is on February 4 and there is midnight sun from the end of May.
We have permanently employed Greenlandic staff who help with interpreting, but also solve many other tasks, such as Lab and X-ray. In addition, we have 3 nurses, 1 pharmacist, and 3 Danish assistants in temporary positions.
We are both a practicing doctor, a nursing clinic, and a hospital for the entire island (around 1500 people), as well as serving 5 villages (a total of around 800 people).

Housing
Housing is allocated according to the rules applicable in the Greenlandic Health Service at any given time.
Salary and employment
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving, as well as relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Citizenship
If you are not a Nordic citizen, please note that employment is conditional upon a valid residence and work permit. A residence and work permit can only be applied for upon agreed employment.
