Work and areas of responsibility:

You will be jointly responsible for following the Inatsisartut Act No. 16 of December 3, 2012, on pedagogical development offers for preschool children, as well as working based on guidelines that can be found on the Qeqqata Municipality website regarding Qeqqata Municipality's political visions, children and youth policy, and pedagogical objectives.

We will try to create an everyday life where there is a balance between familiarity based on daily rhythm/sense of time and unpredictability based on the children's influence on the institution's culture. It is important that we together build a healthy and developing institution for all users of Nuunu. Therefore, the work environment is given high priority.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police, as well as the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland and the Greenland Teachers' Union (NPK)/SIK or another relevant negotiating organization.

Start date: to be agreed upon.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

A staff housing can be provided for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Greenland Self-Government and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon taking up the position, employees entitled to temporary housing will be offered a temporary rental property, for which rent, utilities, etc. will be paid in accordance with the above.

Relocation travel and moving expenses are provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
