Social Pedagogical Seminar in Ilulissat is seeking an instructor for vocational education at PI/SPS. The position requires strong skills in coordination, flexibility, and collaboration. We are looking for an instructor primarily for our vocational education programs at PI/SPS in Ilulissat, with employment no later than August 1, 2026.
The Social Pedagogical Seminar (PI/SPS) has branches in Ilulissat and Nuuk, with its headquarters in Ilulissat. The seminar has around 50 employees and approximately 300 students across 8 different programs: early childhood education assistant training, social worker training, social assistant training, professional bachelor's degree in social pedagogy, pedagogical assistant training, counseling assistant training, social work advisor education, and special and social pedagogical diploma education.
PI/SPS covers all of Greenland with the following essential functional areas:

to educate qualified social pedagogical staff

to offer courses, further education, and continuing education in social counseling and the special and social pedagogical field

to inspire professional and educational development in the social pedagogical sector
An instructor prepares lessons, creates schedules, acts as a practical teacher, and maintains daily contact with practical institutions. In addition to teaching, an instructor must read and assess students' written assignments during their theoretical and practical placements as well as during exams.
You will become part of a teaching team at PI/SPS with the opportunity to influence and
further develop teaching programs in line with the Seminar's vision of contributing to and
make a difference in the social pedagogical practice field throughout Greenland. There may also be a number of travel activities regarding courses and teaching.
We hope you have experience in pedagogical work or have teaching experience in adult education.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and departure travel and moving of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
An unfurnished staff housing can be allocated for the position according to the applicable rules at any given time. Housing cannot be allocated to individuals who already have staff housing or another property owned by the municipality or the Government of Greenland. Rent and deposit are paid according to the applicable rules for the allocated housing. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the property, ownership conditions, etc. There may be a waiting period for the allocation of permanent staff housing, which is why temporary accommodation may occur, including in smaller housing communities or hotel apartments, for which taxation applies. It is not possible to keep larger pets, such as dogs or cats, in staff or temporary housing.
