You will be attached to the Children's Department, where there are 8 beds. You will work with children of all ages as well as neonatal children. Focus areas are early intervention for socially disadvantaged families and the expansion of the children's department into a more structured unit. As a department nurse in the pediatric unit, you will play a central role in this development process.
As a department nurse manager, you will be part of a leadership team consisting of a chief physician, a head nurse, and 4 department nurses. In the management team, we have a very close collaboration and sparring regarding leadership and development of the department.
About the Medical Area and Queen Ingrid's Hospital
The children's department is part of the Medical Area at Queen Ingrid's Hospital. Here, there are two wards, M1 and M2, that receive medical patients from all over Greenland. We receive patients for assessment, diagnosis, care and treatment, as well as rehabilitation and palliative care. Both wards receive both acute and planned patients.
The two medical wards are staffed with 13 nurses and 3 healthcare assistants. We have the following subspecialties: infectious medicine, oncology, gastroenterology, nephrology, and cardiology.
Queen Ingrid's Hospital is the national hospital for Greenland and the regional hospital for the Sermersooq Region. There are 108 beds plus a patient hotel with 70 beds. It is a modern and well-equipped hospital with a high professional standard, good colleagues, and surroundings that could hardly be more beautiful.

Salary and employment
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
