About us:
The regional hospital in Tasiilaq is located in the Kangia/East Greenland region, where we also have 5 associated villages. The villages have their own nursing stations, and we often receive patients for treatment from the villages. During evacuations from the five different villages, it sometimes happens that we send one of our nurses along on helicopter evacuations to pick up patients in the village or to deliver patients who need to be accompanied to the airport, which is located in an associated village.
The hospital consists of a medical clinic/consultation, a ward with 18 beds, an operating room, an emergency room, a laboratory, a delivery room with midwifery services, a public health nurse, porters/ambulance staff, cleaning, kitchen, laundry, TB nurse, and the town's pharmacy.
We are about 50 employees, and in addition, we have the 5 health centers in Tiilerilaaq, Sermiligaaq, Kulusuk, Kuummiut, and Isertoq.
When the outpatient clinic closes on weekdays at 4:00 PM, the department's staff functions as an emergency reception/accident and emergency department, where the nurse, in collaboration with the on-duty doctor and other staff, ensures the consultation and assessment of patients.
We place a high value on interdisciplinary collaboration, and the different professional groups at the hospital often socialize in their free time.
Start date: March 3, 2026, or by agreement
