The Social Authority is seeking 1 social worker for the Children and Youth area. Then the Social Authority is looking for skilled social workers for the Children and Youth team.
In the Department for Advice to Caseworkers, Child and Youth Area, we work to support municipal case processing throughout the country. We provide advice and guidance, develop guidelines and tools that can assist caseworkers in their daily work. Additionally, we hold online presentations, courses, and peer training. The tasks are a mix of developing new offers and materials, as well as being part of the operations with administration and our on-call service, where municipalities can reach out with questions.
At present, we are temporarily supporting Municipality Kujalleq, where several colleagues are directly involved in case processing.
As a social worker in the Child and Youth area, you will be part of a department consisting of four teams: Child and Youth area, Foster Family area, Family Counseling, and Child and Family Center, including a project manager and a department head.

Your tasks will include: Advice and guidance for caseworkers and managers in the child and youth sector.

Coordinator and contributor to projects and development tasks, including updating and disseminating social professional knowledge and methods.

Planning and conducting peer training as well as professional assistance

Planning and holding courses and workshops

Participate in the work of data collection for our work, e.g., evaluation of courses and preparation of travel reports.

Participation in duty roster and handling of administration and ad-hoc tasks
About you
We are looking for a professionally strong social worker with experience in case management in the child and youth sector, and who may already have experience in teaching, for example, in connection with training new employees.
In addition, emphasis will be placed on your good IT skills at the user level.
As a person, we envision that you are open and flexible towards many different types of tasks, that you can work independently and with attention to detail, while we also expect that you are willing to be a sparring partner for your colleagues, and that you can work in an environment where there may be an urgent need for assistance.

We expect that you: Are a trained social worker with several years of experience working in case management within the children and youth sector, including preparing social assessments and action plans.

Professionally strong in the field of children and youth, and has knowledge of child-related methods and tools.

Has good IT skills and preferably knowledge of Get Organized; otherwise, you will of course receive thorough training.

Has in-depth knowledge of the Inatsisartut Act on Support for Children

Has experience with cross-sector collaboration, is a strong coordinator, and good at planning.

Is good at creating and maintaining relationships.

Works systematically, structured, and solution- and development-oriented.

Takes initiative in problem-solving and is good at teaching others.

Is bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish.

Additionally, it is an advantage if you: Have relevant further education in the field, e.g., supervisor.

The Social Authority is an agency under the Ministry of Children and Youth. The Social Authority is divided into the following 7 departments: The Prevention Department Paarisa, The Economics Department, The Day and Referral Department, The Department for Advice to Case Workers, The Citizen-Oriented Department, and The Secretariat.
Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving, as well as relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned housing is retained. The housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
