Assistant Manager for Integrated Daycare Naja/Aleqa. We are seeking a dedicated assistant manager focused on children's well-being and development. The position involves ensuring compliance with regulations and collaborating with parents and colleagues.
We need an assistant manager who is committed to children, can show closeness and trust, is engaged with parents and can maintain a good dialogue with them, and is willing to work with the child at the center. You should be indispensable among colleagues with a broad perspective, attentive to children's reactions, action-oriented, a good complement to the leaders, alert, and willing to participate in development and influence the daycare. You should be able to work closely with the leader and take responsibility for the entire facility when needed. You should be willing to develop children with the child at the center alongside other educators and colleagues.
Integrated Naja/Aleqa is located in the southern part of the city.
The Education Department aims to create curious, resilient, healthy, and happy children. It is expected that, with a social helper education, you will focus on achieving these goals.
The position is full-time with 40 hours per week. There is capacity for 44 children, divided into 20 kindergarten children and 24 nursery children.
The kindergarten's opening hours are Monday – Friday from 6:45 AM – 5:00 PM.
The distribution of work and responsibility among the staff group totals 11 positions.
Responsibilities:
You will be jointly responsible for compliance with Inatsisartut Act No. 62 of November 20, 2023, on educational development offers for preschool children, in addition to the Qeqqata Municipal Council's child and youth policy available on the Qeqqata Kommunia website and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Salary and employment conditions:
A staff apartment can be provided.
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the current agreements between the Greenlandic municipalities and NPK.

Housing:
A staff apartment can be provided for the position, for which a deposit and rent, consumption, etc., are paid according to the current rules for rent payment in Greenland's Self-Government and municipal properties, etc., in Greenland. If a permanent staff apartment cannot be provided immediately upon employment, a temporary vacant apartment will be offered to employees entitled to a vacant apartment, for which rent, consumption, etc., are paid according to the above.
Criminal and Child Record:
This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child records. Therefore, we must point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child record from the national police and the criminal record from the police.
The child record is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.
