A maternity cover as Coordinating Department Manager is available from May 1, 2026. The workplace is the Family Administration in Ilulissat. The position involves leadership and coordination of Majoriaq in Avannaata Municipality, focusing on development work in collaboration with businesses and educational institutions. Travel to local Majoriaq and course delivery may occur.

The coordinating department manager reports directly to the department manager for the Benefits area in the Family Department and is to be the daily leader and coordinating department manager for Majoriaq in the 4 towns of Avannaata Municipality, ensuring ongoing development work in collaboration with businesses and educational institutions. A number of trips to the local Majoriaq in the towns should be expected, and as needed, be responsible for smaller courses.
You will work with stable colleagues in the administration and participate in a dynamic area that is continuously developing, where advising political committees may occur.
Work tasks and areas of responsibility:
Implementation of political decisions regarding the labor market and education
In collaboration with colleagues in the administration, work on staffing and the development of business processes.
Ensure that labor market tasks in Majoriaq are followed correctly.
Planning and efforts to improve case processing in Majoriaq are better carried out in collaboration with various relevant agencies.
·Have an advisory role for the management in relation to Majoriaq's activities
·Sparring with management regarding the development of the case area
·Interdisciplinary collaboration regarding initiatives
·Budgeting and follow-up
We expect:
Experience from working in Majoriaq and the labor market.
Experience from working with public services.
·Management experience – but it is not a requirement.

Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the negotiating organization.
Employment is subject to a satisfactory criminal record. This will be obtained by the employer from the National Police with the applicant's consent.
No staff housing can be provided for the position.
