At Avannaata Municipality, Atuarfik Edvard Kruse, Uummannaq, teaching positions are available for appointment from August 1, 2026, or by agreement.
We are looking for teachers for the school's senior level 8th-10th grade who can teach Physics, Mathematics, Danish, Physical Education, Music, Social Studies, History, Religion, Science, Personal Development, and Local Options.
And teachers for the school's Middle Stage 4th-7th grade, who can teach Greenlandic, Mathematics, Danish, English, Physical Education, Social Studies, History, Religion, Natural Sciences, Personal Development, and Local Elections.
Which can also take on different functions alongside.
Employment will take place according to the agreement between the Greenlandic Government and the Union of Teachers in Greenland, IMAK. Applicants coming from a civil service position in Greenland will retain the right to this form of employment.
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation travel and moving expenses, are in accordance with the agreements in effect at the time of commencement between the Greenlandic Government and the Union of Teachers in Greenland, IMAK.
Employment may also take place on special fixed-term conditions according to an agreement between the Greenland Self-Government and IMAK, whereby a severance payment of 18,000 DKK in annual base amount as of April 1, 1991, 19,818.29 DKK as of April 1, 2012, and an annual vacation travel allowance for the employee and their family is provided.
Staff housing can be made available.
