We want to strengthen our finance and accounting function and are therefore looking for an experienced finance employee / senior assistant for our accounting department.
The position will provide you with very varied tasks, where you will be challenged both professionally and personally. In the accounting department, we are three dedicated employees (Accounting Manager and 2 controllers) who are looking for a good and focused colleague who is committed to providing excellent service to our users.
We hope that you are also good at collaborating with your colleagues in solving tasks, so that we as a team continue to develop the accounting department in a positive direction.

Your tasks will primarily consist of: Guiding the accounting department's partners at Ilisimatusarfik.

Control and follow-up of the daily finances at Ilisimatusarfik, including: Overseeing the registration and bookkeeping of all types of accounting documents.

Perform reconciliation tasks including bank reconciliation.

Furthermore, we expect you to perform the following tasks: Control of business processes and ongoing development and maintenance of administrative processes and procedures.

Ad hoc tasks related to accounting and the finance function
You must have the ability to quickly gain an overview of the accounting department's overall tasks and, together with the accounting team, help coordinate the solution of the department's overall tasks. In addition, you will be assigned your own specific areas of responsibility.
There may be changes to the current distribution of tasks in connection with your appointment, so that both your and the other employees' competencies are utilized in the best possible way.

Desired qualifications: a degree in economics and accounting.

About the Joint Administration
The Joint Administration serves the entire university. It is led by the university director. The Joint Administration has departments in Ilimmarfik. The departments work closely with the academic units, but also collaborate with each other. The tasks of the Joint Administration include: student administration, personnel administration, servicing the board and the Academic Council, as well as other service functions for the university's staff and students. The Joint Administration is also responsible for the building operations of Ilimmarfik.
Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and departure travel and moving of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment with the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
