AC officer to the Bishopric
A position as an AC officer at the Bishopric in Nuuk under the Government of Greenland is available and is to be filled by June 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.
The Bishopric handles both ecclesiastical and general administrative functions for the Church in Greenland.
Many different inquiries are directed to the office from both public authorities, priests, catechists, congregations, and others.
The body consists of the bishop, a diocesan office manager, an office leader, a civil servant, and an office assistant.
The authorized representative shall, among other things, be responsible for coordinating the church-related education, including the catechist and organist training, but also more broadly participate in the work of continuing education for priests and catechists.
The authorized representative must also be prepared to participate in daily work/general case processing without regard to narrow professional boundaries.
The position is sought to be filled by an academic employee with knowledge of and interest in church and congregation-related topics, preferably with a theological education. Emphasis will be placed on personal qualities such as independence, flexibility, and situational awareness. It will be an advantage to have some knowledge of Greenlandic conditions.
Bilingual Greenlandic/Danish is preferred.
This position is subject to the obligation to obtain a child certificate.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving and relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
