Ippiarsuk:

Ippiarsuk is a nursing home with space for 34 residents and an Activity Center with 35 day users. The residents are distributed across 3 departments, with 11-11-12 residents in each department. The staff at Ippiarsuk have the following qualifications: Nurses, Health Assistants, Health Helpers, and unskilled workers. In addition to our 3 departments, the facility consists of an Activity Center, Kitchen, Laundry, administration, caretaker, and Driver. At Ippiarsuk, we have just over 70 employees. In addition to our 3 departments, we also have a department called Pakkutaq, which falls under the area of Disability and Social Psychiatry.

The working hours are full-time at 40 hours per week, both day/evening and night shifts, as well as weekend shifts as needed.

Special requirements:

·Skilled in craftsmanship or other technical background

·Driver's license

·Preferably experience with building maintenance and practical skills

Responsibilities and competencies of the position:

·Independently assess the procurement of maintenance materials in collaboration with the manager

·Adhere to the goals and values of Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq

·Responsible within own work area

·Responsible for ensuring that hygiene regulations are followed

·Responsible for maintaining a high level of information

·Keep the manager informed about the need for development or changes within own area

·Assist in the introduction and training of colleagues in work trials

Primary work tasks:

·Ensure daily operation and maintenance of the center/nursing home

·Conduct daily inspections of buildings, both inside and outside

·Notify the nursing home manager of deficiencies and errors at the nursing home, after which the manager contacts facility@sermersooq.gl, and the caretaker rectifies these

·Perform minor repairs on buildings and furnishings

·Supervise technical installations

·Participate in the arrangement and clearing of resident rooms in connection with moving in or out

·Ensure the setup of aids during events

·Act as a driver in case of illness or other needs

·Fire instructor

·Responsible for safety and safety work

·Maintain washing machines/cleaning equipment

·Maintain wheelchairs and other aids

·Responsible for larger industrial procurements after approval from management

·Participate in meetings, such as safety meetings and Monday meetings

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
