The Municipality of Sermersooq is looking for an engaged consultant for Majoriaq Nuuk, who will work with job search services. The position involves case management, citizen contact, and collaboration with the team. Emphasis is placed on professionalism, community perspective, and the development of people and processes.

Majoriaq Nuuk is looking for a Consultant

The Municipality of Sermersooq is looking for a skilled and dedicated consultant who will primarily work with job search services for Majoriaq Nuuk, which is rapidly developing according to applicable guidelines, so that the consultant can participate in the continuation of the ongoing development in the area.


The position is placed under the Municipality of Sermersooq’s administration for Welfare and Labor Market, Majoriaq Nuuk, where the department head in job and guidance is the immediate supervisor.

You will therefore work as a consultant in Majoriaq, where you will participate in motivating young people and adults to become ready to start a job or education.


Content of the position:

The tasks are diverse and include among others:

·Counter service and telephone citizen contact

·Registration of unemployed in Winformatik and GetOrganized

·Processing of applications and preparation of decisions regarding job search services

·Administration of sanctions

·Administration of mobility-promoting services

·Processing regarding external labor

·Quality assurance of payment lists

·Ad hoc tasks in collaboration with other employees


The tasks are solved in close collaboration with the team’s other employees and with reference to the department head.


Expectations:

·Has an office education or social professional background

·Demonstrates initiative and responsibility

·Works structured and independently

·Service-minded and professional in citizen contact

·Good collaboration skills

·Bilingual candidates are preferred, but not a requirement

·Experience with authority work and knowledge of relevant legislation is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.


Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland or another relevant negotiating organization.


Housing:

There will be the possibility of assigning staff housing for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland and the municipality's properties, etc. in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees with the right to temporary housing will be offered a temporary vacant housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the above. The start date depends on when there is staff housing available. A relocation travel and moving of belongings will be provided according to applicable rules.
