Integrative institution Mike/Meeraq in Paamiut is looking for a department leader

Then you are the department leader we are looking for in the integrated institution Mike/Meeraq.

The integrated institution Mike/Meeraq is the only integrated daycare institution in Paamiut, and we are working to enhance professionalism in the institution. You will have 23 colleagues who are open to development, 87 children from 0 to 6 years old, distributed across 6 rooms, and are open Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 16:30.

Our goal is

That the children experience their childhood as a safe and good time with good surroundings, that the children develop into open children who have self-confidence, and it is also important that the children get a sense of community.

That the children are involved in making decisions together with the staff, and it is also worked on that the decisions they make together are age-appropriate and fit their maturity in close cooperation with the parents.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police and the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal certificate is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

There will be the possibility of assigning staff housing for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland's and the municipality's properties, etc. in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, temporary staff housing will be offered to employees entitled to vacant housing, for which rent, utilities, etc. are paid according to the above. The start date is dependent on when a staff housing is available. A relocation travel and moving of belongings will be provided according to applicable rules.
