The School

You will join a school with about 1,000 students across grades 1-10 and 9 special classes. We are a brand-new school in development, focusing on 21st-century skills, project-based learning, team collaboration, quality development, and enhancing students' academic levels in the coming years.

The school's vision is to cultivate students who can be creative, collaborative, critical thinkers, digitally literate, have strong communication skills, and work across disciplines.

The school's vision for learning environments is to increase academic proficiency, stimulate individual learning and well-being, support alternative learning methods, and create a teaching environment that caters to each student's needs and inspires a desire to learn.

The school currently consists of 92 staff members across four departments: grades 1-3, 4-7, 8-10, and a special department. There is a principal, three vice principals, and four level leaders with a coordinator for special classes. Positions are full-time. Learn more about Atuarfik Inussuk here:

We are looking for:

Currently, we are seeking a teacher for Level 2 with diverse competencies. Subjects: Danish, Greenlandic, social studies, personal development, and homeroom teaching.

You should be prepared for close team collaboration with other teachers in the team and department and maintain close contact with parents.

Criminal and Child Record:

This position is subject to the law requiring a criminal and child record check. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child records. Therefore, the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child record from the national police and the criminal record from the police.

The child record is obtained by the municipality with the individual's consent, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and Employment Terms:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the current agreement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Employment will include a 3-month probationary period.

Housing:

The position may include staff housing, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc., are payable according to the current rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland's and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing is not immediately available upon commencement, temporary housing will be offered to employees entitled to it, for which rent, utilities, etc., are payable as per the above. The start date depends on the availability of staff housing. Relocation travel and moving expenses are provided according to current regulations.
