Nuussuup Atuarfia is a tiered school with 380 students in grades 1-10 and a dynamic, engaged, and stable teaching staff of 45 educators. The school has 17 regular classes and 5 special classes, where the students perform very well academically.

 

The teacher's hours:

The teacher will be the class teacher for 4th grade and will teach the subjects Greenlandic, Danish, English, mathematics, natural sciences, history, social studies, and personal development.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

Housing:

A staff housing option can be provided for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utility costs, etc. will be paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to temporary housing will be offered a temporary rental unit, for which rent, utility costs, etc. will be paid in accordance with the above. The start date is dependent on when a staff accommodation is available. Relocation travel and moving of personal belongings are provided according to applicable regulations.
