We are looking for an engaged social consultant to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration in early childhood and welfare in Sisimiut and the villages. You will work on early intervention and prevention, playing a central role in the cooperation between day care institutions, villages, and administration. The position involves travel and housing is included.
We are looking for an engaged and professionally strong social consultant who is eager to work closely with practice and contribute to strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration in the daycare and welfare sector.
As a social consultant, you will play a central role in the collaboration between daycare institutions, communities, and administration – focusing on early intervention, prevention, and holistic solutions.

Social counseling based on inat. 62, November 20, 2023, and support for daycare institutions.

Participation in and follow-up on cases concerning children and families
-
Close collaboration with educational consultants, daycare institutions, and other professionals.

Collaboration with Early Intervention, the Welfare Area, and other relevant entities

Participation in interdisciplinary meetings and networks

Work both in Sisimiut and in the settlements Itilleq, Sarfannguit, and Kangerlussuaq

You will have the daycare center manager as your immediate supervisor.

Your permanent workplace will be physically located in Sisimiut.

The position involves travel activity to the mentioned villages.

Has a relevant social work education (e.g., social worker or equivalent)

Has experience working with children, families, and/or the daycare sector.

Can work independently while also engaging in close interdisciplinary collaboration based on inat. 62, November 20, 2023.
