Utoqqaat Illuat is looking for a dedicated department manager for Pillorissaavik and Katak. You will be responsible for staff management and professional support in two departments. We seek a leader with a healthcare background who can communicate clearly and create a good working environment. The working hours are 40 hours per week in day shifts.

The working hours are 40 hours per week in day shifts on a full-time basis where you are part of the on-call arrangement.
Utoqqaat Illuat is one of Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq's older institutions in the city of Nuuk. It consists of 5 departments with a total of 47 residents, including respite care and an activity center. We are a residential institution, and therefore work is done in 3 shifts. The staff at Utoqqaat Illuat have various qualifications, including health assistants, health helpers, nurses, and there are also a number of unskilled workers employed. In addition to the three departments, there is also a laundry, a kitchen, as well as a caretaker and a driver.
Utoqqaat Illuat is seeking a dedicated and present department manager for Pillorissaavik and Katak – a role where you will have both responsibility and influence in an organization with its heart in the right place.
As a department manager, you will have daily responsibility for personnel management, professional sparring, and coordination in two departments. You will be an important bearer of culture and a role model, and together with your teams, you will create an everyday life where the citizen is always at the center.

Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
Housing:
A staff housing option will be available for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the current rules for rent payments in the Greenland Self-Government and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to temporary housing will be offered a temporary accommodation, for which rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the above. The start date is dependent on when a staff accommodation is available. Relocation travel and moving expenses are provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
