Department Leader

Care Center Ippiarsuk Kammiut is seeking a dedicated department leader for two departments. You will be responsible for personnel management and professional support in an organization with strong values such as care, respect, and trust. The working hours are 40 hours per week during the day, and you will be an important cultural bearer and role model.

About Ippiarsuk:

Ippiarsuk is a nursing home with space for 34 residents and an Activity Center with 35 day users. The residents are divided into 3 departments, with 11-11-12 residents in each department. Ippiarsuk has the following staff groups: Nurse, Health Assistants, Health Helpers, and unskilled workers. In addition to our 3 departments, the facility includes an Activity Center, Kitchen, Laundry, Administration, Caretaker, and Driver. Ippiarsuk has just over 70 employees. In addition to our 3 departments, we also have a department called Pakkutaq, which falls under the area of Disability and Social Psychiatry.

Ippiarsuk is looking for a dedicated and present department manager for two of our departments – a role where you will have both responsibility and influence in an organization with its heart in the right place.

As a department manager, you will have daily responsibility for personnel management, professional sparring, and coordination in two departments. You will be an important bearer of culture and a role model, and together with your teams, you will create an everyday life where the citizen is always at the center.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
