Deputy Manager for Kammagiit

The Department for Disability and Social Psychiatry in the Welfare and Labor Administration is seeking a deputy manager for Kammagiit in Nuuk.

Kammagiit has three departments and a total of 11 employees. We offer activity and social opportunities, a café, and a respite service.

The activity and socializing offer is a service for citizens under disability and social psychiatry and is open on weekdays and closed on weekends and public holidays.

Our respite center is an offer for citizens with physical or mental disabilities. The location of the respite center is at Kammagiit activity center and is open 24 hours on weekdays and closed every other weekend. The target group is citizens who temporarily need care in connection with relieving the relatives who provide a caregiving function.

You will work closely with the manager and in their absence, you will step in for the manager, with support from the rest of the area's management.

Tasks:

• Management and operational tasks in close collaboration with the leader
• Be a co-creator of frameworks for a safe and pleasant place to be, where there is care and understanding for each individual citizen.
• Maintenance and strengthening of already existing competencies, for example through collaboration in interdisciplinary efforts.
• Execution of daily tasks in Kammagiit.
• 40-hour position, where the hours will primarily be during weekdays between 7 AM and 4 PM.
• You are also part of a scheme with on-call duty in your own home.

The Disability and Social Psychiatry department in the adult sector is a division with eight housing units, five group homes, two activity and social interaction offers, and three support teams located in Nuuk, Tasiilaq, and Paamiut. Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
