We are looking for a skilled accounting manager for our Payroll and Accounting department in Municipality Qeqertalik. You will play a significant role in developing our administrative processes and ensuring the operation of the accounting department. Responsibilities include preparing budgets, financial management, and participating in IT development projects.
Specifically, the administration is responsible for:
·the organization of the municipality's risk and financial management as well as the administration of the necessary data foundation
·payroll administration
·preparation of budget, budget follow-up and accounts
·implementation of economic analyses and opportunity catalogs as well as risk and economic impact analyses of proposals for measures

Work tasks:
The accounting department must ensure that the accounts develop in a direction that provides increasingly better management information. There are thus requirements that the quality of the records in the accounting system is of good quality. Information from the accounting system must help ensure that we achieve our goals with new initiatives and maintain the ongoing development of the entire Municipality of Qeqertalik, which includes all the municipality's towns and settlements. As the head of accounting, you will prepare monthly accounts and ensure that the annual report is generally ready immediately after the end of the year. The area of responsibility will focus on ensuring correct bookkeeping on the used dimensions, including direct responsibility for participation in IT development projects.
Your tasks could be, for example:
·Develop business processes and tools that ensure continuous quality improvement of data.
·Assist in the preparation of the budget and budget follow-up
·Focus on better financial management and engage in the streamlining of administrative routines and workflows in specific case areas.
·Participate in a cross-functional network
·Assist with financial statements and annual accounts for institutions
Coordinate the financial guidance and advice for managers.
Participation in project and ad hoc tasks assigned by INUA's management

Criminal record:
This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland or another relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
Housing:
A staff housing option will be available for the position, for which a deposit and rent, utilities, etc. will be paid according to the current rules for rent payments in the properties of the Greenland Self-Government and the municipality in Greenland. If a permanent staff residence cannot be made available immediately upon commencement, employees entitled to a vacant residence will be offered a temporary vacant residence, for which A-tax will be paid for benefits in kind according to applicable legislation.
OR The start date is dependent on when a staff housing is available. A relocation travel allowance and moving of personal belongings will be provided in accordance with applicable regulations.
A staff residence must be vacated upon the termination of the employment relationship.
