Food Assistant

Qeqertalik Municipality, Aasiaat is seeking a Food Assistant for employment starting on April 1, 2026, or by further agreement, in the nursery Vâva.

Qeqertalik Municipality in Aasiaat is seeking a skilled Food Assistant, preferably trained in the food industry, for the Vâvà Nursery.

Tasks:

Cooking for 36 children and toddlers

Meal planning

·Cleaning

·Grocery shopping etc.

Perform food accounting for each month and year.

Employment is in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland and SIK.

There is no accommodation available for the position.

Criminal record and child certificate:

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police, as well as the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.
