Majoriaq in Municipality Qeqertalik Aasiaat is seeking an office assistant to start on May 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Majoriaq Aasiaat provides guidance for job seekers and education seekers in the town and in the settlements.
As an office assistant with a guiding function at Majoriaq in Aasiaat, it is your task to manage employment-promoting measures, activation of the unemployed, and revalidation. Participate in relevant cross-sector committees and projects on behalf of Majoriaq. Maintain contact with labor market stakeholders. Develop action plans for the unemployed, job seekers, etc.
There are, among other things, the following responsibilities:
· Guidance for education seekers and job seekers
· Ensure that applicable legislation regarding the labor market and education is complied with.
· Planning of employment and activation projects to alleviate immediate unemployment in the city and in the villages
· Outreach guidance for young people aged 15-29 years
· Management of guidance and motivation programs
Applicant's qualifications:
· Trade and office educated supplemented with guidance basic education
· Experience in the administration field
· Cooperative
· Responsible
· Resourceful
· Knowledge of Greenlandic education and labor market conditions
Salary - employment - housing:
· Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Naalakkersuisut and the negotiating organization.
No housing is provided.
Criminal record and child certificate:
This position is subject to the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the national police, as well as the criminal certificate from the police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.
