Bailiff Case Handler for Qaasuitsoq District Court in Ilulissat

Your new workplace

Qaasuitsoq District Court is seeking an engaged and structured bailiff case handler who will help ensure that judgments are enforced and that financial claims are met.

The district court handles enforcement cases in a judicial district that includes Ilulissat as well as the satellite towns in Qaanaaq, Upernavik, Uummannaq, Qasigiannguit, Qeqertarsuaq, Aasiaat, and Kangaatsiaq with associated settlements.

Your primary work tasks

  • Establish and handle enforcement cases regarding the collection of monetary claims, including making seizures and securing creditors' receivables.
  • Summon debtors and conduct enforcement court meetings – both in person, by phone, and via video.
  • Conduct outgoing enforcement proceedings, for example in case of absence from meetings.
  • Respond to inquiries from citizens via email and phone.

Employment process

Interviews are expected to be held in week 21. Applicants who do not reside in Ilulissat will have the opportunity to participate via video.

Commencement: As soon as possible or by further agreement.

Salary and employment conditions

The position is full-time (40 hours per week). Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and SIK for office staff.

If you come from a city other than Ilulissat, we will cover the travel expenses for your relocation and the moving of your belongings according to the provisions of the agreement.

We can also assist with searching for employee housing through INI. Rent, utilities, etc. are covered according to applicable regulations.

In connection with the employment, a criminal record will be obtained - with your consent - as security clearance is a prerequisite for employment.

Holiday free travel According to SIK's collective agreement, the employee is entitled to holiday free travel for the entire household (spouse/partner and children living at home under 18 years) every other year after 2 years of employment.

The holiday free trip must be applied for through SIK's holiday fund.
