Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq is seeking a skilled maternity cover and dedicated coordinator for the Children's House in Tasiilaq. The position involves coordinating clients for treatment, travel, and preparing treatment plans. Experience in the children's sector and interdisciplinary collaboration is preferred.
The Children's House consultant is on maternity leave from January 1, 2026.
Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq is therefore seeking a skilled maternity cover and dedicated coordinator for the Children's House to manage coordination and consultancy work under the Initiative Area in MI Tasiilaq, starting as soon as possible or by mutual agreement.
The Children's House in Tasiilaq is established in connection with the Danish-Greenlandic cooperation under the Social Agency in BFC Tasiilaq.
As of January 1, 2026, the Children's House is managed by Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq MI Tasiilaq.
The department consists of 1 treatment leader, 1 psychologist, and 4 family counselors (also affiliated with the Initiative Area).
The position is full-time and reports to the Department Head in the Initiative Area.
Position Responsibilities:
We are looking for a – preferably experienced – consultant to handle:
· Coordination of referred clients for treatment in the Children's House,
· Coordination of travel from settlements and stays in Tasiilaq for clients and traveling therapists.
· Preparation and revision of treatment plans together with therapists.
· The consultant must also coordinate video interviews with the police.
· Participation in video interviews of children, with the task of summarizing for further proceedings in the Children's House.
· The consultant must also help clarify and develop work processes.
Tasks are solved in close cooperation with the Children's House staff, the police, the healthcare system, and caseworkers in BFA.

Criminal and Child Record:
This position is subject to the law requiring a criminal and child record check. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child records. Therefore, we must point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child record from the National Police and the criminal record from the Police.
The child record is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the Police.
Salary and Employment Conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the current agreement between the Government of Greenland, as per the agreement/contract in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

No staff housing is available for the position.
