The Center for Counseling and Family Treatment is seeking a dedicated coordinator to enhance well-being for children, youth, and families. The position focuses on family counseling and requires a social work education. You will work on planning, implementing, and following up on initiatives that support children's well-being and families' coping skills.

About the position:
We are looking for a committed and resilient coordinator who is passionate about making a difference for children, young people, and families in need of support.
As a coordinator, you will be a central part of the work to develop and implement initiatives that strengthen families' competencies and support children's well-being. The position has a particular focus on family counseling, where you will be responsible for planning, execution, and follow-up.
Together with another coordinator, you will play a central role in the collaboration between families, their networks, and relevant professionals. You must ensure safe and structured processes in situations that are often both emotionally demanding and complex.
Your tasks will include:
Planning and implementation of family council meetings in collaboration with the initiator.
·Conducting motivational interviews with the child/young person, parents, and network
Formulation of the child's questions in collaboration with the child/young person, parents, and initiator.
·Practical coordinator function in connection with family counseling (framework setting, catering, safe atmosphere, etc.)
·Ensuring follow-up and follow-up meetings after family council deliberation
·Advice and support for young people and their families
·Relationship building and individually tailored programs
Early and preventive intervention for vulnerable youth
·Interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration with, among others, social workers, family therapists, schools, daycare services, police, etc.
Participation in relevant network and case meetings
·Registration, documentation, and follow-up in relevant systems
·Evaluation of the method (including evaluation forms and effect follow-up)
·Teaching/presentation on family council deliberation within the organization
We expect you to:
·Has a relevant social education (e.g. social worker, social pedagogue, social work or equivalent)
·Has experience with or interest in working with children, young people, and families, preferably in a municipal or preventive context.
Can work holistically, structured, and independently.
Is strong in relationship work and can create trust and security.
Has good collaboration skills and thrives in interdisciplinary collaborations.
·Has good written and oral communication skills in Greenlandic and Danish, but not a requirement.
Is resourceful, responsible, and good at creating an overview.
Thrives in a dynamic everyday life with both planned and urgent tasks.
Is mentally and physically robust and can maintain professionalism and composure in pressured situations.

Criminal and Child Certificate:
The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal record from the Police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in effect at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
