Queen Ingrid's Hospital's social department "Sana Social" is seeking a qualified social worker from March 1, 2026, or by further agreement for a full-time position.
We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker and is interested in interdisciplinary collaboration with the hospital's other staff regarding severely ill patients and the resolution of or assistance with their social issues.
The meeting time is from 08:00 to 16:00 on all weekdays.
About us:
The position is organizationally placed under the Psychiatric area. The Psychiatric area consists of a psychiatric outpatient clinic, a secretariat, ward A1, psychiatric therapy, and the district psychiatry Ikaarsaarfik.
The psychiatric area is primarily led by the Chief Physician and a Chief Nursing Officer.
"Sana Social" is led by the Chief Social Worker, and Sana Social offers services for patients and departments at Queen Ingrid's Hospital, with case processing taking place in close collaboration.

Social data collection and social history

Counseling, guidance for hospitalized patients

Applications

Supervise the social conditions of the mentally ill during hospitalization.

Be the point of contact for the municipalities' social administrations, pension offices, and disability departments in socially related work tasks, etc.

Call and participate in interdisciplinary network meetings / discharge meetings between Ikaarsaarfik and other partners.

Be the meeting leader and write minutes, just as you need to document in the electronic patient journal.
