The Greenland Technical College (KTI) is a modern and resourceful educational institution with up-to-date teaching facilities, rooms, and workshops. The school is continuously developing and expanding its activities in line with the needs of society.
As an HR consultant, you will play a central role in the operation and further development of KTI's HR function in close collaboration with the HR manager. You will have the opportunity for both professional and personal development in a position with independent responsibility and a wide range of interactions within the organization.
Your main areas of responsibility:

Administration in connection with hiring and terminations.

Ensuring pre-, on-, and offboarding in collaboration with department heads.

Preparation and updating of job postings, as well as job and function descriptions in collaboration with department heads.

Participation in hiring committees.

Administration of vacation, maternity leave, and other leave of absence with or without pay.

Advising and supporting administrative staff regarding salary-related questions about overtime and shifts.

Update of the staff handbook and administrative procedures.

Maintenance of the HR annual wheel.

Secretariat support for the MED and working environment committees.

Ad hoc tasks.
About you
You have a relevant HR or administrative background – preferably with experience in HR-related tasks.

You work in a structured and thorough manner and can handle multiple processes simultaneously.

You are service-minded and thrive in a role with a wide range of contacts, where you act as a natural go-to person.

It is an advantage if you are familiar with the Self-Government's hiring procedures and the systems used.

You have good collaboration skills and build trust in dialogue with both employees and leaders.

You master Greenlandic and Danish.
The position requires flexibility, as you will regularly participate in meetings across the locations in Sisimiut and Nuuk.

About KTI – Vocational School and High School
KTI has about 150 employees and offers vocational training in Nuuk and Sisimiut in the fields of Iron and Metal, Construction and Civil Engineering, Raw Materials, and language courses, as well as the upper secondary education programs GUX, e-GUX, and North Atlantic high school class. Additionally, access courses for engineering and maritime officer programs are offered.
KTI has operational collaboration with the Technical University of Denmark (ARCTIC - DTU) on two engineering programs, as well as with Teknika on the marine engineering program.
In addition, KTI manages the operation of 389 student residences located in Sisimiut.
Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving and relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
An unfurnished staff housing can be assigned to the position according to the applicable regulations at any given time. Housing cannot be assigned to individuals who already have staff housing or another property owned by the municipality or the Government of Greenland. Rent and deposit are paid according to the applicable regulations for the assigned housing. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the property, ownership conditions, etc. There may be a waiting period for the allocation of permanent staff housing, which is why temporary accommodation may occur, including in smaller co-housing communities or hotel apartments, for which taxation applies. It is not permitted to keep larger pets such as dogs or cats in staff or temporary housing.
