About the nursing home in Tasiilaq:

The nursing home accommodates 18 residents. There are approximately 28 staff members, including a manager and a deputy manager, health assistant, healthcare aides, canteen assistant, nursery nurse, cleaning assistants, janitor, and unskilled staff.

Job content:

We are looking for a healthcare assistant to participate in providing attentive and compassionate care for the elderly. Good care is our absolute priority, requiring us to develop frameworks for quality care and focus on effective solutions. In this development process, you will play a significant role in collaboration with the manager and other colleagues.

We expect you to collaborate with the manager to handle the task of educating and developing the unskilled staff to improve residents' well-being.

The nursing home is undergoing a development process focusing on skill development, job satisfaction, and stability, which we believe positively affects the well-being of residents and staff.

Working hours are 40 hours.

The position reports to the daily management of the nursing home.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law requiring a criminal record check. According to the law, employment can only commence once the municipality has received a criminal record. Therefore, the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the police.

Salary and employment terms:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the current agreement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

Employment will be subject to a 3-month probationary period.

Housing:

A staff residence can be provided for the position, for which a deposit and rent, consumption, etc., are paid according to the applicable rules for rent payment in the Government of Greenland's and the municipality's properties in Greenland. If a permanent staff residence cannot be provided immediately upon commencement, a temporary residence will be offered to employees entitled to a temporary residence, for which rent, consumption, etc., are paid according to the above. The start date depends on when a staff residence is available. Relocation travel and moving of household goods are provided according to applicable rules.
