Consultant or Administrative Officer

The IT department in Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq is seeking a structured and service-minded administrative employee to support the IT manager. The position is full-time and involves administration, coordination, and follow-up within the IT area. Applicants should be structured, service-oriented, and possess good communication skills. Experience from a politically governed organization is an advantage.

The IT department in Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq is looking for a structured and service-minded administrative employee who will play a central role in supporting the IT manager and contributing to the development of a growing department, starting on June 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.

The position is for you who thrives on responsibility, can create an overview in a busy everyday life, build and follow projects through to completion, and is motivated by being part of establishing good administrative frameworks. The employee can be hired as a consultant or an AC officer.

The position is a full-time role with direct reporting to the IT manager.

The content of the position:

Your everyday work combines administration, coordination, and follow-up within the IT field. The tasks may include:

Administrative support to the IT manager

Coordination of contracts and agreements within the IT sector

·Follow-up on deliveries and ensuring that agreed services are received

·Mapping and overview of IT equipment in relation to applicable agreements

Invoice management and support for financial follow-up

Maintenance of administrative systems and internal information

·Contact and dialogue with external partners and suppliers

·Various administrative tasks related to operations and development tasks

  • Is good at collaborating widely
  • Is multilingual. Greenlandic/Danish is preferred, but not a requirement.

Criminal record:

This position is subject to the law requiring the collection of a criminal record. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has received a criminal record. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the criminal record from the Police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
