We are looking for a department head for Group Therapeutic Offers who will lead the development of parent groups, psychoeducational programs, grief groups, and addiction groups. You will be responsible for the department's professional, organizational, and methodological development, ensuring clear frameworks and procedures in collaboration with staff and the management team.

We are looking for a department head for Group Therapeutic Offers, who will lead the development of parent groups, psychoeducational programs, grief groups, and addiction groups – all with the aim of creating well-being and coherence in families' everyday lives.
About the position:
As department head, you will have overall responsibility for the department's professional, organizational, and methodological development.
You must ensure clear frameworks, clear procedures, and a common professional direction for the department's group efforts – in close collaboration with your employees and the management team at the Center for Counseling and Family Treatment.
You will become a central part of the area of effort, where we work holistically to support families through knowledge, dialogue, and networks.
Your main tasks will be to:

Lead and develop the department's group-based initiatives – including parent groups, psychoeducational programs, grief groups, and addiction groups.

Establish and maintain the department's handbook for group interventions, including descriptions of procedures, methods, and workflows.

Develop and quality assure brochures, informational materials, and written guidelines for citizen-oriented initiatives.

Create clear frameworks, meeting structures, and a shared understanding of the department's goals and methods.

Ensure high professional quality and systematic planning, implementation, and evaluation of group programs.

Support employees' professional development and well-being through coaching and managerial follow-up.
·Hold staff meetings, supervision, and well-being conversations (MUS)
·Competence development of employees through courses, education, etc. In collaboration with a development consultant.

Actively participate in the center's leadership meetings, development forums, and cross-functional collaboration groups.
We are looking for a leader who:

Has a relevant higher education preferably in pedagogy or social work – preferably with further education in group facilitation, supervision, or psychoeducation.

Has management experience or experience in coordinating professional initiatives within the child and family sector.

Is development-oriented and thrives on building structures, frameworks, and systems in a department in motion.

Has strong communication skills and can translate professional knowledge into practice and common direction.

Has a recognizing and inclusive leadership style and is focused on employee well-being and professional quality.

Has an eye for the whole and the ability to strengthen collaboration across departments and professional groups.
Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Criminal and Child Certificate:
The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a criminal record and child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received a satisfactory criminal record and child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the national police as well as the criminal record from the police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
