About the job/Family Center:
The Family Center in Qeqqata Municipality primarily deals with trauma following incidents such as sexual abuse, violence, neglect, and suicide. The center's task is to ensure that families are well-supported and assisted after such events. Additionally, the Family Center has preventive initiatives, supporting families from pregnancy onwards. Current staff includes 2 environmental workers, a social educator, 1 home visitor, a coordinator for family guidance, a social worker, a coordinator/early intervention in Manu, and a leader. To strengthen the Family Center's goal of being a multidisciplinary, treatment-oriented center, we are seeking a coordinator for family guidance to join the team.
There are additional ongoing cases at the Family Center, where the children's house is involved. The coordinator's primary tasks will be with children and young people who have been sexually abused or subjected to physical and psychological violence.
As a coordinator at the Family Center, your tasks will include:

Reception, assessment, and coordination of referrals from the Children and Family Department

Participation in open counseling

Coordination of referrals to the Children's House and summons

Coordination of police interviews

Coordination, leadership, and preparation of minutes for Case Council

Participation in police video interviews

Preparation of minutes from video interviews

Preparation of recommendations for caseworkers in the children's house in collaboration with therapists

Participation in ad hoc tasks

Trained as a social worker or further education in family guidance, or trained as a psychotherapist

Approachable and able to establish a trusting contact with those who come to the Family Center

Values a multidisciplinary collaborative environment where different perspectives are considered

Able to work independently and in teams

Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement
Salary and employment conditions:
This position is subject to the law requiring a child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin once the Municipality has obtained a child certificate.
The child certificate will be part of the municipality's assessment of who is hired for the position.
Salary and employment conditions are generally in accordance with the agreement between Naalakkersuisut (Government of Greenland) and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing can be provided for the position, for which payment is made according to current regulations.
