Department Manager at Nursing Home Neriusaaq

Qeqqata Municipality, the Welfare Area, is seeking 1 department head for Angerlarsimaffik Neriusaaq in Maniitsoq, responsible for department ABC.

Angerlarsimaffik Neriusaaq was inaugurated in 2008 and has space for 44 residents with varying care needs. Neriusaaq is organized into three departments (ABC, D, EF) and has close collaboration across departments. The house employs around 60 staff members with different professional backgrounds.

As a department manager, you will be a central part of the management team and play an important role in the daily operations, staff management, and development of care in your department.

Work tasks:

• As a department manager, your primary tasks will be:
• Responsibility for the daily operations of department ABC
• Management and distribution of daily work
• Daily personnel responsibility in the department
• Ensure structure, overview, and professional quality in task resolution.
• Participation in the management group and act as the department's spokesperson.
• Participate in the planning and development of the entire nursing home's operations and organization.

Qualifications:

• We are looking for a department manager who:
• Is trained as a healthcare helper or healthcare assistant
• Is stable, responsible, and has an overview in a busy everyday life.
• Has good collaboration skills and a supportive approach to employees.
• Is clear, approachable, and can work independently
• Is flexible and motivated for the leadership task.
• Management experience is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Salary and employment conditions

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government and the negotiating organization.

Housing can be provided.

Commencement: May 1, 2026, or by agreement
