Qeqqata Municipality's student home has six school-attending residents aged 13-16 in the school year 2025/26, who are in 9th and 10th grade at Atuarfik Kilaaseeraq. The residents come from the villages of Napasoq and Atammik. The student home is staffed around the clock, with the staff consisting of 1 manager, 1 deputy manager, 3 social workers, 1 kitchen manager, and 1 night guard who works 40 hours a week in shifts.
Work and responsibilities will primarily be

Interaction/care/education of the residents.

Ensure that the residents attend school every day.

Collaboration with cleaning in the school home.

Initiate activities together with the residents.

Ensure that there is good well-being at the school home.
Qualifications

has an education as a social worker or equivalent.

has experience caring for young people aged 13-16 years.

is happy for young people.

Can maintain a good collaboration with parents and school.

is stable and responsible and can work independently.
Requirements for the applicant

Salary and employment conditions
There is free travel for arrival and departure, as well as relocation of household goods, in accordance with the agreements in effect at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and S.I.K/N.P.K.
Housing may be provided for which rent etc. is paid according to the rules in force at any time.
Child certificate
The positions are covered by the law on the obligation to obtain a child certificate. According to the law, employment can only begin once the municipality has obtained a child certificate. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police.
Employment is subject to a satisfactory child and criminal record check, which will be obtained by Qeqqata Municipality.
Commencement on April 1, 2026, or by agreement.
