Social Worker

Paarsisoq is both a daycare and a kindergarten located on the road to the neighborhood Radiofjeldet.

Paarsisoq has space for 90 children, in the nursery there are three rooms each accommodating 12 children. In Paarsisoq, the children are divided into the rooms as follows; in two rooms, the youngest and middle-aged children are grouped together, and in the third room, children around 2 years old are prepared for moving to kindergarten.

In the kindergarten, there are three rooms with 18 children each; the youngest and middle-aged are gathered in two rooms, and one room is reserved for children who are about to start school.

Paarsisoq is located close to the city center, which was put into use as a kindergarten in 1969, but later an extension was added for the nursery.

The staffing norm is 22; leader, deputy, 4 department heads in pedagogical positions, 6 child/social workers, 6 assistants, a cook, a kitchen assistant, and a cleaning assistant.

Criminal and Child Certificate:

The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the National Police as well as the criminal record from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.

Salary and employment conditions:

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable agreement between the Government of Greenland, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of appointment between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.

The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.

No staff housing can be provided for the position.
