The Social Agency is looking for skilled social workers for the Children and Youth Team. You will support municipal case processing with advice, guidance, training, and development of new services. We seek an experienced social worker with strong IT skills and knowledge of child welfare methods. You should be flexible, independent, and good at building relationships.
SEARCH THIS POSITION Would you like to support case processing in the child and youth sector across the country with advice and guidance, courses, and much more? Then the Social Authority is looking for skilled social workers for the Children and Youth team.
In the Department for Advice to Caseworkers and the Children and Youth Team, we work to support municipal case processing throughout the country. We provide advice and guidance and develop guidelines and tools that can assist caseworkers in their daily work. Additionally, we hold presentations, courses, and peer training. The tasks are a mix of developing new offerings and materials, as well as being part of the operations with administration and our on-call service, where municipalities can reach out with questions.
At present, we are temporarily supporting Municipality Kujalleq, where several colleagues are directly involved in case processing.
As a social worker in the children and youth area, you will be part of a department that, in addition to the four professional teams for the children and youth area, foster family area, family mediation, and child and family center, consists of two project managers and a department head.
Your tasks will include, among other things:

Advice and guidance for caseworkers and leaders in the child and youth sector

Coordinator and contributor to projects and development tasks, including updating and disseminating social professional knowledge and methods.

Planning and conducting peer training and professional assistance

Planning and holding of courses and workshops

Participate in the work of data collection for our work, e.g. evaluation of courses and preparation of travel reports.

Participation in duty roster and handling of administration and ad-hoc tasks
We are looking for a professionally strong social worker with experience in case management in the child and youth area, and perhaps already has experience in teaching others, for example in connection with training new employees.
In addition, emphasis will be placed on your good IT skills at the user level.

We expect that you:

Is a trained social worker with several years of experience working in case management in the field of children and youth, including preparing social assessments and action plans.

Professionally strong in the field of children and youth, and has knowledge of child-related methods and tools.

Has good IT skills and preferably knowledge of Get Organized, otherwise you will of course receive thorough training.

Has in-depth knowledge of the Inatsisartut Act on Support for Children

Has experience with cross-sector collaboration, is a strong coordinator, and good at planning.

Is good at creating and maintaining relationships.

Works systematically, structured, and solution- and development-oriented.

Takes initiative in problem-solving and is good at teaching others.

Is bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish.

Has relevant further education in the field, e.g. supervisor

has experience working in a politically governed organization

has experience working with development projects and is good at thinking innovatively.

The Social Authority reserves the right to obtain criminal and child certificates. We therefore point out that the employment can only take effect once the Social Authority has received a satisfactory child certificate from the National Police as well as a criminal record from the Police.
The child certificate is obtained by the Social Authority with written consent from the individual, while the criminal record must be obtained by the individual themselves through the Police.
Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to relocation and moving expenses upon joining and leaving, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement applicable at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
No staff housing is provided for the position. If an applicant already has staff housing through employment in the Self-Government, the right to the assigned staff housing is retained. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon the termination of the employment relationship.
