We are looking for a highly skilled consultant or special consultant with solid pedagogical insight and strong analytical skills to develop the adult sector for citizens with disabilities in Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq. We are looking for a professionally strong consultant or specialist consultant with solid pedagogical insight, strong analytical skills, and extensive experience in the special area. The position is located in Disability and Social Psychiatry and has a clear focus on development, analysis, and operational support.
You will become a central collaborator for management and contribute to translating knowledge, data, and practical experience into concrete improvements in quality, coherence, and professionalism across our offerings.
In the position, you will need to engage in close collaboration with the department head, team leader, managers, deputy managers, and employees in a department where we work based on our three cornerstones: Professionalism, diversity, and community. This means, among other things, that we believe good professional solutions are found in a community across organizational levels.
About the position:
As a consultant/special consultant, you work across the Disability and Social Psychiatry area with a particular focus on:

Development of the educational work in our residential units, housing collectives, support initiatives, etc.

Analysis, structure, and systematics as the basis for professional and managerial decisions

Support for leaders in the work with quality, documentation, and learning

Contribute to the long-term development of the adult sector for citizens with disabilities in Sermersooq.
You will have a daily routine where tasks alternate between analysis, development processes, sparring, communication, and operational support.
Central tasks:

Support the development and implementation of workflows, tools, and internal standards.
-
Prepare analyses and decision proposals for management and department head.
-
Facilitate and support development processes across units
-
Contribute to learning and knowledge sharing, for example through materials, workshops, and professional presentations.

Support quality assurance, documentation, and supervision preparation
-
Contribute to the coherence between the citizen perspective, pedagogical practice, and leadership in the department.

Has strong pedagogical insight and solid experience in developing pedagogical practice.

Has in-depth knowledge of the special area, including working with citizens with disabilities.

Has experience working across organizational levels and disciplines.

Is analytically inclined, possesses sharp academic skills, and can translate theory and analysis into practical solutions.

Has experience in facilitating development and change processes.
Educationally:
You are for example:

Educated pedagogue with a master's degree in pedagogy, psychology, learning, organization, or similar.

Or has an equivalent academic educational profile with a clear foundation in the educational field.

Knowledge of Greenlandic conditions and culture is an advantage.

Being bilingual in Greenlandic and Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Criminal and Child Certificate:
The position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment can only begin when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We would therefore like to point out that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received the child certificate from the national police as well as the criminal certificate from the police.
The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, while the criminal record is obtained by the individual from the police.
Salary and employment conditions:
Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between the Government of Greenland, according to the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
The employment will be subject to a 3-month probation period.
