The Government of Greenland is seeking a dormitory supervisor/dormitory advisor for a new dormitory for students under 18 at Campus Kujalleq. The position requires education in the pedagogical field and experience with youth. Responsibilities include daily contact with residents, promoting social life, cleaning arrangements, guidance in hygiene and cooking, as well as participation in residents' education.

A brand new dormitory for students under 18 is seeking dormitory supervision/dormitory guidance.
The position is governed by the agreement between the Government of Greenland and the Greenlandic Teachers' Union for pedagogical staff at day and residential institutions in Greenland.
Primary tasks and requirements for the position of dorm supervisor/dorm counselor:
Maintain daily contact with residents under 18 years old.
Promote social life and community in the dormitory by organizing activities together with the residents and apprentices after school hours.
Implement cleaning arrangements for the residents and ensure that these are followed.
Guided the residents on hygiene and healthy cooking.
Ensure that the residents' rules of order are followed.
Ensure the establishment of resident councils and hold dormitory meetings for the residents.

Participate in the duty roster along with the other staff during nighttime hours and on weekends. Contribute to ensuring maintenance and procurement for the dormitory.
Collaboration with the school's other staff.

Ongoing contact and information to the residents' parents. Participate in the residents' education and follow and support their study activities.

Personal guidance of the residents.

Responsible for the residents' well-being in collaboration with the dormitory inspector.
Requirements for education and qualifications:
Education in the field of pedagogy and experience working with young people is a requirement.
Other requirements: First aid course
Course in guidance — coaching
Good skills in expressing oneself both orally and in writing.
Is stable.
It is a requirement that the applicant has a child certificate and a criminal record certificate, which must be submitted with the application.
It is a requirement that the applicant is bilingual in Danish and Greenlandic.

Salary and employment conditions
Salary and employment conditions, including the right to travel for joining and leaving as well as relocation of personal belongings, in accordance with the agreement/collective agreement in force at the time of commencement between the Government of Greenland and the relevant negotiating organization.
Housing
An unfurnished staff housing can be assigned for the position according to the applicable rules at any given time. Housing cannot be assigned to individuals who already have staff housing or another property owned by the municipality or the Government of Greenland. Rent and deposit are paid according to the applicable rules for the assigned housing. The staff housing is linked to the employment relationship and must be vacated upon termination of the employment relationship.
Rent and housing standards may vary depending on the age of the property, ownership conditions, etc. There may be a waiting period for the allocation of permanent staff housing, which is why temporary accommodation may occur, including in smaller housing communities or hotel apartments, for which taxation applies. It is not possible to keep larger pets such as dogs or cats in staff or temporary housing.
